About Mum Thrive

Wholeness in motherhood.

Mum Thrive is a community that supports and connects mums through every step of motherhood, caring for the whole woman: body, soul and spirit.

Why we exist

When a baby arrives, everyone asks about the baby. Fewer people ask about the mum.

Maybe you're building a career and a family at the same time. Maybe you run your own business between feeds and school runs. Maybe you stepped away from work to care for your family and you're still finding your feet.

Whatever your story, your days are full. Full of work, ideas, children and everyone else's needs. And somewhere along the way, you stopped coming first. Some days, you don't come at all.

So many mums quietly carry this on their own. They feel stuck. They feel like they exist only for their kids. They can't sleep, can't rest, can't remember the last time they looked after themselves.

Mum Thrive was created so that no mum has to carry it alone.

Our story

It started in the clinic.

As a doctor, Dr Dezie saw it again and again: mums walking in exhausted and burnt out, wondering if real wellness was even possible for them. Their bodies needed care, but so did their hearts, their minds and their faith. Medical advice alone could only go so far.

What they really needed was support for the whole woman, and people to walk with them.

So Mum Thrive was born. It started in Accra as a small community of mums, and it has grown one mum at a time, through church, the clinic and friends telling friends. Today it's a warm, growing community of mums learning to care for themselves, support one another and thrive, not just survive.

What wholeness means

Body, soul and spirit.

You are one whole person. When one part of you is struggling, the rest of you feels it too. That's why we care for all of you.

Body

Your health, energy and rest. Recovering after birth, eating well on busy days, sleep, movement, and knowing when to see a doctor.

Soul

Your mind, emotions and relationships. The mental load, your mood, your marriage and friendships, and the part of you that has dreams of her own.

Spirit

Your faith and your purpose. Finding God in the everyday, and growing into who you were created to be.

Rooted in faith, open to every mum

Love, served.

Our Christian faith is the foundation of Mum Thrive. It's the reason we do what we do.

But you don't need to share our faith to belong here. Every mum is welcome, just as she is. Our hope is simply that in the love and help you find here, you'll catch a glimpse of Jesus: not as a religion, but as love, served.

What we believe

Motherhood is a blessing, even on the hard days.

The weight is real, and so is the gift. We hold both.

Caring for you is part of caring for them.

Looking after yourself isn't selfish. It's part of loving your family well.

Support should fit real life.

No perfect routines. No guilt. Just small steps that work on busy days.

No mum should walk alone.

Community isn't a bonus. It's how we heal and grow.

Motherhood grows you too.

Your life isn't on pause. You're becoming someone new, with new strength and purpose.

Our mission

To help mums care for their whole selves (body, soul and spirit) and grow into the fullness of who they were created to be.

Founder

Dr Adaeze Tony-Nnamah

MBChB · General Practitioner · Lifestyle & Wellness Coach

Most people call her Dr Dezie. She's a mum first, so she knows the full days, the short nights and the quiet question of “what about me?”

She's also a General Practitioner and a Lifestyle & Wellness Coach. In her work, she brings together sound medical knowledge, practical everyday wellness and a deep, gentle faith.

She started Mum Thrive because she believes every mum deserves support that sees the whole woman, and a community that reminds her she was never meant to do this alone.
